Napoleonics, WWII, ACW, ECW in various scales are all sitting in boxes awaiting some attention. Once in a while a unit gets transfered to the painting table and may even end up painted in a formed unit. This will chronicle my haphazard attempts to work down the lead mountain.
Finished my first Saxon cavalry unit - the Prince Karl Chevaulegers. These are Eureka figures with home printed standards. I have bought some more to do a third squadron.
Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jonathan
DeleteThey look great Richard.
ReplyDeleteThanks - I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. Took me ages to get the flags right.
DeleteWhat a splendid cavalry unit...excellent job!
ReplyDeleteThanks Phil - it took me while to get a green that I was happy with
DeleteVery impressive cavalry. I do love your photography and backdrop.
ReplyDeleteThanks for noticing Dean. The backdrop is new - railway terrain backdrop.
DeleteCamera is a > 10 year old simple, small Sony digital. Much easier than the expensive SLR.
Lovely looking unit, is uniform easier than Italian wars informality? Or are there too many small details that must be done!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thanks Iain. They are a lot more work than the Italian Wars stuff. But I love the look of the uniform ranks with these 17th & 18th century armies.
