Work continues on the vehicles for my 12th SS battle group. These have had their basecoats and camouflage applied and some filters also put on - more to go tomorrow.
Napoleonics, WWII, ACW, ECW in various scales are all sitting in boxes awaiting some attention. Once in a while a unit gets transfered to the painting table and may even end up painted in a formed unit. This will chronicle my haphazard attempts to work down the lead mountain.

Beginnings of the German Infantry
Most of one battalion - they are Battlefield SS figures. Also waiting on a load more to fill out this one make a second battalion - coming from the resurrected AB figures at Eureka. Should be here in a day or two.
Made a start on these today and the vehicles have been base coated and highlighted yellow - but no light left outside to do the camo.

Back to WWII - 20mm German Battlegoup
Been putting together a fair bit of resin and adding stowage to old partially painted models and new ones alike. Got the greenstuff out tonight and painting begins tomorrow.
Will be used to build a battlegroup from the RF Normandy book for 12th SS.

First Hun army finished
So most of the army on display. This is what I fought with over the weekend when they made their debut in an Impetus competition at Cancon - Australia's largest convention.
There were just 8 of us in the Impetus comp and a great time was had by all.
Like all new armies they did not cover themselves in glory - let's just say I won the Encouragement award.
The army is from the Impetus beta lists is made up of Huns and some Goth allies.
There are two more pieces that I used on the weekend but need to do a bit more to - one because of injury and one to add a few more items to the baggage base.

The Huns on the Field
The Huns had their first outing on the weekend. They played in an Impetus comp at Cancon - wonderful two days with a great bunch of guys. While I have continued to attend Cancon each year, this is the first competition I have been in there in over 25 years - the last was microarmour.
Anyway, only got one photo as I was so engrossed in the games. I know a few more were taken by various people and if they ever appear I will purloin them (with appropriate attribution of course).
I need to do a little bit of repairing with the glue - one lance and one rider were casualties. Once done, I will get them all out and take a shot or two.

Getting close with the Huns
Less than 48 hours to go until I need to be in the car driving to Cancon where these guys will make their debut.
Since the last photo 12 bases finished. Just a few more to go and some command figures. And all the basing to be done.
An overview shot of what is finished and mounted on bases.
